APPLICATION PHOTO GUIDELINES

1. Use a mobile phone camera to take the snapshots. Ensure the lense is clean.

2. Get down to your child’s level. Do not take photos from an angle as this can distort your child’s features in photos.

3. Ensure there is a good source of natural light. If there’s not good lighting inside, please go outside where possible.

4. Do not use a filter, effect or flash. The images must be submitted unedited.

5. Babies to be lying down on white/ light coloured blanket, unless they can sit for a long period of time unaided then they should be sitting in front of a plain white/ light coloured wall. Children to be standing in front of a plain white/ light coloured wall inside or a fence/ brick wall outside.

6. Take a mixture of photos showing different emotions where possible. Examples of emotions to show in images: Close ups, smile with teeth, smile without, laughing, serious face, no smiling. Include a couple of mid & full length shots too.

7. Curly & Afro type hair to be left big & natural, dry with no product or styling. Tuck girls hair behind ears for a few shots & long hair to be tied in a loose style, or messy top knot for a few shots.

8. Children should wear a plain black, white or neutral fitted T-Shirt or Vest top, with jeans. Age appropriate clothing, no big brands or bright colours/ patterns! Babies should be wearing a basic plain Sleep-Suit. No hair accessories, makeup or jewellery for all ages.
