Meet Elyza: Matilda The Musical's Newest Cast Member!

A revoltingly good addition to the company of Matilda The Musical at the Cambridge Theatre, London. Exclusive: The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced new casting for the Award-winning ‘Matilda The Musical’, including our very own Elyza who will be making her West End debut this Autumn as the role of Lavender!

After only signing with South Coast Kidz through the ‘SCK x adf’ collaboration in April 2024, it wasn’t long before Elyza was submitted via Spotlight and invited to audition for Matilda The Musical. She then went back & forth to London over the next couple of months for auditions, recalls, and then made it down to the final 8! A couple of days later, we received a very exciting phone call to confirm that Elyza had successfully landed her dream role of Lavender & that she would be joining the company this Autumn.

Elyza is really enjoying the rehearsal period so far, and she can’t wait to get on stage this September! Here are a couple of photos of Elyza’s journey of becoming a ‘Maggot’ so far 📚🦎🎭

Shaniyah Shines Bright in Starlight Express: A Spectacular Journey on Wheels!

Following on from Shaniyah’s West End debut in 2023 as ‘Young Anna Mae’ in Tina! The Tina Turner Musical, we are thrilled to announce that our talented Shaniyah has been cast as ‘Control’ in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Starlight Express’ the Musical (Original Cast) at the Troubadour Theatre, London Wembley.

We took a trip to London on Friday evening after work to watch what was meant to be Shaniyah’s opening night, however she was called in a few days before and ended up performing in the opening night due to sickness, what an amazing suprise for Shaniyah, she took it in her stride.

As we took our seats, we couldn’t believe how cool the concept was whilst the cast skated around us for the duration of the show. The light dimmed and we quickly released that Shaniyah would be the one opening the whole show, which she did with such confidence.

We are so proud of how Shaniyah has adapted to ‘theatre life’ and we love watching her shine on stage, so much so that we have already booked to go back again! 🛼🪩💫
